Endurance Week

Week 2 of endurance and I want to be pushing my threshold pace, be prepared for lots of repeat distances throughout the week. I want to swim fast and consistent during the main sets and maintain as many of the technical aspects I've been working on as possible.


Try to push for a best average through the long threshold sets, meaning holding the fastest time you can consistently. We don't want to burn out on the first and repeat and have to swim a bunch of slow ones or vice versa swim a load of slow repeats and never bring ourselves to threshold. Keep it fast and hold it there! Aim for rest periods of around 6 seconds.


I'll be trying to hold a high stroke rate on these swims but trying to avoid overly sacrificing stroke count. I've been working on using my core more through the kick and this has been difficult to hold over longer distances to I aim to push that limit as far as I can this week.
