It‘s Non-Stop Continuous Swimming day again today! I’ll be swimming mostly Freestyle and using all the drills we covered this week as well as some Backstroke, Breaststroke and Single Arm Fly. Below is the list of drills I’ll be using for Freestyle.


  • Alignment Kick - kicking with one arm out in the reach position, the opposite relaxed at the hip. Hold a rotated position keeping head down and neck relaxed.

  • 6 Kick Switch - using the alignment kick position and switching onto the opposite side with one stroke.

  • 3TS (triple touch switch) - similar to 6ks, the recovery arm touches water entry point, retracts over the top of the water to touch back to the hip then recovers fully to entry and switching to the opposite side.

  • Catch Up - in 3 phases. 1. with a long pause. 2. With a stop. 3. With a smooth transition.

  • Single Arm - I like to do this with 2 strokes each arm, breathing on the second stroke and focusing on a streamline position on the first.
